How do I register Pro Tools 8 LE to iLok ?

Hi, i bought pro tools 8 off ebay, i was told it included all the authorization and iLok. All I was given was the authorization code and the date registered. How do I enter this into iLok to redeem my license ? On the website if I click on redeem licenses the authorization is a different length than the license. Does the person I bought it from need to transfer the license to my iLok account ?
