Christians: does it matter that one is pro-life since neither party is doing anything about Roe vs Wade?

What difference does it make that I vote for a republican since he/she is not even trying to repeal Roe vs Wade? They would have to define life as starting from conception which would be very hard to do. The best solution that I see is for christians to reach out to people without the use of politics and to help change their hearts.
