Should I tell someone?

Today I was walking homw from my middle school, with my friend, and these three girls came up behind us, and were swearing at us, and asking for smokes, and my friend kept walking put the girls kept saying stuff, but I didnt awnser them, the out of know where, they grabed my back pack, pulled me back, then pushed me to the ground, and they said if I ever went through there again they would kill me. They look like there in grade 9 or 10, im in grade 8 kow one saw what happened, but should I tell someone, and by the way im NEVER going that way home again! I would like some advise please!
