I have to disagree with Starship. Individuals should not suffer for the benefit of businesses. There are other ways of reducing costs and its sad that the first thing to happen in a recession is redundancies and pay freezes. The minimum wage is low enough as it is and should be raised to something more substantial in line with the cost of living these days although it would be impractical to introduce a standard wage for everybody. No one would go and get themselves educated if they were guaranteed a 20k salary to start!

Constant, crushing, severe fatigue with hypothyroidism; what can I do for more energy??

I too have hypothyroidism, if you just started taking the synthroid it will take your body a while to adjust to it. It took me atliest 3 to 4 months to start feeling better and about a year to start loosing the weight.I used to have muscle aches and chronic fatigue until I changed my diet. I now drink lots of water and mainly eat foods high in fiber. Coffee and caffeinated drinks only make my fatigue even worse so I avoid drinking them. I stay away from stressful situations because if I get too upset my muscles start aching real bad. Take your medicine on an empty stomach at the same time each day and don't eat for atliest an hour after, to give the medicine enough time to absorb into your system. I don't feel 100% all the time but it minimizes my symptoms tremendously. I hope I helped, I know how hard it is to live with hypothyroidism, I too have a young child to look after.

So I've been playing flute for 5 years, and I've recently taken up an interest in joining a drum corps. Unfortunately, flutes aren't exactly allowed in drum corps. Help with a bathtub clog?

I have a severly clogged bath tub. It had been draining slowly and I finally decided to use the little hook we had to pull out the hair around the drain ( we have a foot lock drain). After removing a large clump of hair and **** I expected the drain to start working properly but it actually got worse. I've tried Drain-o and plunging it to no avail. No other drains in the house are having problems so it must be in the drain leading out from the bath tub. Today I bought a hand crank plumbers snake and attempted to put it down the overflow but I hit the bottom of the pipes before I hit a clog. Does any one know how to force the auger to turn around the pipe? If that's not possible, is it possible to find a section of the pipe I can access? The bathroom is directly next to a closet with the water heater, but it's an apartment so I can't get into the crawl space or any basement area that would be of use.

C-Section Postpartum??

I had my son almost 11 months ago, June 19, 2007. One week after I had him, my incision opened up and I had extreme amounts of drainage and pain. I had to get my incision packed 2 times a day for 3 months (my boyfriend had to do it).. This was such a painfu experience. I saw my doctor throughout the process and she kept saying give it more time. I moved about an hour away from that doctor; so I still washed it daily, cleaned it out everyday, and such. I tried numerous times to get into a doctor around where I am living now but everyone told me that I needed to go see my original doctor. In Jan, I finally got into an OB around me and he immediately sent me to a surgeon, who then sent me to a Wound Care Specialist. They tried something and gave me a few weeks to heal, still didn't heal. I then had to get an ultrasound and now I'm going to see the Wound care specialist again. I don't have diabetes, no complications with the pregnancy. Does anyone have any suggestions

Ok, I know that I don't eat very healthily. I never eat breakfast, and sometimes will only have lunch or dinner. If I have lunch, i'll end up snacking after 5pm. But when I eat something, say a bowl of coco pops, I always have to have another bowl after...If I have a gummy snake I have to have another one. Is Drain Auger good for snaking out plastic?

I have got plastic cap ( plastic nozzle of bleach bottle, not the upper cap but the one from where the liquid comes out, white one) has got stuck in the drain pipe of my sink. I opened the P trap and was trying to put bleach straight into the drain pipe by pressing the bottle and suddenly the white nozzle plastic thing went inside the pipe and has clogged the sink. The water doesnt go thorugh the pipe now as its been clogged by the plastic cap. The worrying bit is that it has gone down further the pipe as i was trying to take it out with hanger. People have suggested me to use dry/wet VAC or try auger to snake it out. Will Drain auger will get hold of the plastic and pull it out or not? Please suggest me something as i did my toothbrush in bath tub this morning .. i need my sink back to normal and i cant pay 100's of quids to plumber in this time of credit crunch too...

Does this sound like Shingles?

I have noticed for the past couple years, (I am 24) every once in a while I would get a bit of pain on one side of my body. It would usually be on my ocks/thigh (but only one side) I would mainly noticed it when I would sit down on the toilet and the cold seat would cause pain because my /thigh was so sensitive. But it was never anything I really thought about because it was never that horrible of pain and never would have any outbreaks of rashes or anything like that. But it was very, very sensitive, like all my nerves were just exposed. I know Shingles is not common in younger people, but I did hear that it can have an outbreak when your immune system is compromised. and stress can lower your immune system. Well, I have HORRIBLE stress at times, to the point where it even raises my blood pressure to a scary high. Well for the past couple weeks I have been extremely stressed. Probably the most stressed I have been in my life. And today, on the left side only of my and thigh, I started to feel some pain. Then the sensitivity to the cold toilet seat was unbearable. I also could hardly have the fabric of my pants run against it without wanting to cry. This time, the pain was very bad. It would even go numbish sometimes but then be very painful again very quickly. I started to freak out because I was reading online about and they can occur on the and thigh and can be a tingly, painful feeling before breaking out. But thats when I remembered that this has happened to me before for past couple years (just not nearly as intense) and I have never once had any type of rash or outbreak. it is also ONLY on one side. I have only been tested for once, yrs ago and it was negative, but my fiance has probably tested 10 times throughout our relationship. (because he would break out from condoms and would freak out about it) always negative. and he only ever broke out right after the condom was used, within minutes. then it would go away. I have also heard that you can often get the pain from shingles, but never get any outbreaks. Does this in anyway sound like Shingles? The pain in my leg right now hurts so bad.. its like a trail of pain just own my left side.. KILLS. Its all just throbbing.

Chances of loose skin shrinking naturally?

So i was really obese and i decided i needed to change that, i was 250 lbs at my highest weight and im at 190 lbs right now. I'm a guy, 15 years old (almost 16) and im around 5'11"-6' tall. i lost 60 pounds over the course of about 7 months. I didn't necessarily achieve this weight loss in the healthiest way, i ate very little and i did cardio exercise every day for around an hour. I admit i did loose the weight pretty fast and i have done my research and from what Ive read, the faster you loose weight the less likely it is to shrink back. when i stand up my skin isn't noticeably saggy (unless you pull it) but if im sitting it folds in on itself. When i was really fat my stomach had like hard fat (if that makes sense?) and now its very very squishy. I can actually feel my abs now and i can sorta tell that there is defiantly a six pack under there however its not visible through the skin. Also, my arms especially have a lot of loose skin and i can pull a good 3 inches of skin on my arm. Im sure ive lost quite a bit of muscle with my weight loss as well, since i was able to bench 185 lbs at one point (max) now i can barely do 3 reps of 135 lbs. Im not focusing on weight loss anymore, instead i started p90x (Day 8!) Im doing everything i can, im even following the p90x nutrition guide somewhat (it tells me i should be getting 2800 calories a day although that's alot for me so im only eating like 2400 a day) My question is, if my skin will go back how long would that take? Also (this is kinda embarring) but one of my pecs is lower than the other one, it was like this even when i was over weight. Is there anything i can do to fix that without surgery as well? It looks weird and id like it to be normal but i try not to let it bother me so i still will take off my shirt but id much rather have it look normal.

When I print directly from a website, it comes out in symbols rather than in English. I don't know why it is like this. When I go to "print preview," the page I am printing is all in English, but when it actually comes out in the printer is just random symbols. Printing from Microsoft Word, however, is perfectly fine. Second time buying trampoline. what brand/type?

OK our family is buying another trampoline...for 'exercise' and we don't know what kind to get. Right now, I think we have an 8 foot jump king, with three children on it mostly, one child at 200 lbs, one at 60, one at 80. It works fine, but rarely the oldest hits the ground, and we need a large trampoline mainly for tricks, and jump height. I believe your problem is tied directly to codecs. Select Options from the Tools menu of WMM, then flip to the Compatibility tab. From there, remove the checkmarks from every box. Restart Windows Movie Maker (for good measure). Now, check wheather mp3 can be imported. If not, you may have to consider converting the mp3 to wma format.

You need to tell her, the longer you leave it the worse it will get and you eventually end up telling her anyway because it will slowly drive you insane, so it's best to catch it as early as you can. If you get this out of the way your feelings will eventually fade, but if you don't tell her they will just get stronger. I once was in a similar situation and when I told her I got a no, but we still remained super close and became even closer as a result, so it's not necessarily the lose situation you think it is if she doesn't feel the same.

Dog May Have Trouble Getting Along?

Yesterday, i introduced my oldest dog to my new puppy that i got. My oldest dog is a black lab/australian shepherd mix and my new puppy is a border collie. When i introduced them they seemed to be getting along just fine. So the next day i put them in the garage together, and of course i put my puppy in the pet porter, and they got along fine in there as well. I brought them in the house later today, and we were watching them in the living room, and my senior dog snapped at him. From what i saw, the puppy did absolutely nothing and the dog just randomly snapped at him, and i am afraid that they will never get along. How come I get painful muscle cramps when I'm sleeping? Ones that rudely wake me up!?

I get leg cramps once in a while while sleeping (talk about a rude awakening). I know I'm not deficient in any vitamins, minerals or protein. Some of us just have weird bodies. I can often feel my muscles "gearing" up for cramps (mucles will twitch or just feel like something's going on) beforehand and then I drink quinine (actually tonic water which has quinine in it). I also cannot have the bedding I sleep under (blankets, top sheet) tucked under the mattress--my feet have to not be confined (so my foot isn't always forced into a pointing position), if I feel my legs or feet going into a cramp, I immediately jump out of bed and land hard on the leg/foot that is acting up which breaks the cramp. There are also over the counter tablets you can get that contain quinine. Make sure you are getting your daily requirement of vitamins, minerals, protein so you can rule those out though.

New Goldfish chasing the other one?

So, I bought this new goldfish today. But it has been chasing this other one , but only that specific one. It has been chasing it , mostly sticking its face in the middle of the triangular shaped tail or push the other one. It is important to note that th pushing has became really often when I fed them. If it is going to matter , the new goldfish is currently the largest in the tank whereas the one being chased was the biggest and now the second biggest , about 3/4 of the new ones size (3/5.5 with the new ones tail). Why is this happening? I thought goldfish were friendly and un-aggresive. I also do find it funny that the new one doesn't attack the smallest ones which are some kind of called hazelnut-goldfish which are a little bigger than than a hazelnut. I checked google a bit and they said it might be cause of mating , but I don't see any pink opening or whatever on the one being chased (funny cause I always umed it as a guy). So any suggestions? and why?

HELP! I took my son back to creche (baby cl) today after a two month vacation and he was hysterical!?

My 2 years-8month old son has been attending creche since he was 1 year 9 months. He has been on a two month summer vacation and when I took him back to school today, he threw a tantrum and cried; clinging to my leg for dear life! He cried hysterically when I left. So me and my fiancee have been looking at real estate properties for quite some time now and we have tried to stay away from short-sales due to all the negativity. But currently we have found a home we LOVE and think has alot of potential but unfortunately it is a short-sale. So we decided (ignoring everybody's bad forthcomings) to put a bid on the property. The property needs ALOT of TLC and it is deffinitely not worth what the asking price is, so we put a bid in (considerably lower than the listing price) for what we think it is worth keeping in mind all of the work we are going to need to do and also putting in that the bank will pay ALL closing costs. My realtor contacted the sellers agent and gave her our bid and tried to get a seller's disclosure, especially since its a short-sale and needs TLC. The seller's agent told my agent that she was having an issue getting ahold of the sellers, which meant no seller disclosure. It has now been 4 days and my realtor called me today and said the sellers have accepted my offer and will be faxing over a seller's disclosure and they are sending the bid to the bank, which is completly surprising to me! Now due to this my whole outlook has changed and now I want to still proceed, which I don't know if I am still just in way over my head (but aren't we always). MY QUESTION: Since the property is way overpriced and needs alot of TLC, I don't believe alot of offers have been coming in. Could this possibly work to my advantage and even though it only took 4 days for the seller's to respond out-of-the-blue, does it mean I could have the same chances with the bank? With the economy, has short-sale closings highered due to the banks going under or are my chances worse now? And even if they do accept, what about closing? How many of yall have successful short-sales, how long did it take, and what about the bank paying closing? Has there EVER been a "happy ending" short-sale that beats the odds and goes through smooth, fast, and "perfect?" I just want to know if there is a snow chance in Hell that this short-sale could be "different?"
